Guido - The instructor

In 2011 he started practicing Parkour in Arnhem and in 2012 was one of the diehards at the Decatlon Play Parkour event in Kerkrade. After some time, he decided to train in Wageningen and to motivate new people to try Parkour. His dream is it to have a Parkour and Sao Lim Kung Fu school. Because of this he is giving workshops and lessons for interested people aged 7 years and older. Next to that he is following an education to Sao Lim Kung Fo trainer and is planning to do the ADAPT levels.

For him it is very important to get as quickly as possible from point A to point B covering every distance. Therefore "further and higher" is not most important for him, but conditioning is. Because of that, flow is very important for him, as well as running.
He trains to have no weak point and for long term fitness rather than to impress people on the short term. Therefore he trains barefoot. Next to Parkour he practices Sao Lim Kung Fu in order to reduce the weak points even further and to practice it as a martial art.

Moreover he likes the idea of being able to be helpful from the "Méthode Naturelle". This is why he also likes to help others with hard work on his way. During trainings he likes to add manipulative motion methods to body weight conditioning which completes the "Méthode Naturelle" training techniques. Filming has a very low priority as it shortens the training time.

Next to having no weak point and “being strong to be useful”, he likes to be creative. That is why he combines the old school Parkour with ADD. Moreover he likes to be able to express his emotions in his movement; so that he also does a little bit of the original Free-running.

For him it is not just a sport, but a way of living. This is why he sees possibilities to train everywhere and takes it out of the sport world. As a true traceur he is always ready for training; wearing suitable clothes.
